And the results are...

We at AMPRO and MAA are very glad to share the results of the major award in the Brazilian Promotional Marketing – AMPRO Globes 2001.
2001 - The decision was made last Thursday at Hotel Sofitel in Sao Paulo with the participation of the jury of 15 professionals deeply involved in the Communication area, such as Customers Marketing, Promotional Agencies, Journalists, Suppliers and Teachers.

In the 17 categories judged there were 93 entries representing promotional market campaigns implemented in the last 12 months. The winners this year are:

Category 1 – Best Multi-Disciplined Promotional Campaign The Marketing Store (Rocha Azevedo) – Marea Impecavel – Fiat Automoveis

Besides these categories, there was the judgement of the Best Promotion Marketing Professional of the Year which entitles the winner to represent Brazil in the great final Globes Gala in Miami (USA) next November. Participating in this contest: Antonio Murena Junior (Marketing Drive), Edson Crescitelli (MV Promocoes Culturais) e Paulo Octavio Pereira de Almeida (Direct TV). For the first time the election was open through AMPRO's site (www.ampro.com.br) with a surprising result. There were 373 votes, as follows:

• Second place (108 votes) - Antonio Murena Junior (Marketing Drive) and Paulo Octavio Pereira de Almeida (Direct TV); • First place (157 votes) - Edson Crescitelli (MV Promocoes Culturais), the big winner who will receive the title of Best Promotion Marketing Professional of the Year AMPRO Globes 2001.

In due time AMPRO and APMA will announce the date and place of the awarding ceremony. Start celebrating and prepare your teams for a bigger challenge – to represent Brazil in the International Globes Awards 2001 to be held in the USA. Review the rules and prepare your material to enter in the international award according to item 8 of our Rules. We are convinced that we will be very well represented.

August 1, 2001 A record of 100 entries from 20 agencies and the excellent creative and execution level made the Argentina Globes 2001 the Major Awards in the Argentinian Promotional Marketing market. The highly qualifed Jury was made up of professionals from the following companies:

The winners were announced yesterday at the Claridge Hotel in Buenos Aires, in a Cocktail Party with over 150 people, including agencies, clients, the Jury, journalist, members of the Campro, Directors from the media partner (Target magazine) and special guests.

Mr. Grimaldi, President of the Argentinian Promotional Chambers (Campro) gave the welcome words, thanking the remarkable efforts made for agencies and clients in improving the quality showed in their entries. Mr Marcovecchio, as APMA 's RVP for Southern Cone, read the message sent by Iain Ferguson to this special event, and thanks to all at Campro for their organization, the support received from Target Magazine, the time and dedication to the members of the Jury, and to congratulate all participants and winners.
